Wireless fire alarm systems are exactly as described. The control equipment and aerials require cabling but all other devices are entirely wireless.
When it comes to choosing the correct wireless system for you, initial cost should not always be the main consideration. It is vital to ensure that the system is fully compliant to both the British Standard, BS:5839:Part 1:2002 and the European Standards, EN54 Part 25 which requires the use of the 868mhz fire alarm dedicated radio frequency band. With a life expectancy of 10 years or more, a more reliable, compliant system is far more cost effective than a cheaper, non-compliant system.
Radio systems can be used on any site but they are particularly suited to historic or listed buildings, hotels, schools or any premises that requires a fast, efficient installation with limited disruption.
