EMERGENCY LIGHTING SYSTEM
YOUR SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY
Virtually every commercial property or building of multiple occupancy has a requirement for adequate emergency lighting. These systems are designed to ensure that all occupants can safely evacuate the building in the event of a power failure.
As a simple test, have a quick walk around the premises, do you have an emergency light inside and outside every fire escape, at each change of direction on every escape route and adequate lighting on every tread on each stairwell? If not, you may wish to request a free site survey to discuss any requirements that may have not been met.
All of our emergency lights are installed with test switches to allow safe and convenient testing of the units. The units themselves range from standard bulkhead fittings to decorative fittings that can be used as corridor lighting.
WHO NEEDS AN EMERGENCY LIGHTING SYSTEM?
SERVICING
The British Standard for emergency lighting systems, BS:5266:Part1:1999 requires two services per year. We include two one hour services with our fire alarm maintenance contracts but these can be supplied separately if required. Some properties may have a requirement for a three hour discharge test once a year, which we can also make allowance for when requested.
